Sponsored by Graham's Fine Chocolates of Wheaton, each concertgoer will be given a special gift of chocolate. A wonderful string orchestra concert with virtuoso soloists performing romantic suites and lyrical classics. 15 year old prodigy Amelia Piscitelli will perform the Svendsen Romance for violin and orchestra. She has been selected to be featured on WFMT's Introductions radio show, and the concert will be recorded by 98.7 WFMT for future broadcast.
Note that there is also another concert in this series on October 16, 2016 at the Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts.
The repertoire will include the Atterberg Suite for Solo violin, viola and strings with Mathias Tacke and Rose Armbrust. Maestro will delight you with short interpolated recitations of romantic love poetry. Repertoire for string orchestra includes:
