Superb young violinist and Concertmaster Ellen Maloney will perform the Vaughan Williams Violin Concerto Academico with the Camerata Chicago Academy Orchestra.

In a delightful concert of lyrical string orchestra classics, the Academy will perform a selection of movements from the Tchaikovsky String Serenade and Grieg's Elegaic Melodies.

The Academy performed on the 98.7WFMT Introductions radio show on December 10 and is Ensemble-in-Residence at Gary United Methodist Church.

Camerata Chicago Academy is an orchestra founded in 2014 comprising advanced high school students. The Camerata Chicago Academy provides a marvelous opportunity for young musicians to perform in a professional atmosphere to a very high standard under the direction of an internationally known conductor, Drostan Hall, Camerata Chicago’s Music Director, who has 25 years of experience of training aspiring young musicians.
